About The Group: It's for those who haven't played a stringed instrument in a number of years we even have a class for the absolute beginning stringed instrument player.

We have three sessions a year; fall, spring and summer with each session ending in with a concert.

North Coast Strings, in 2018, will be directed by Alyze Dreiling, is hosted at the Museum of Making Music. It started in 2008 on election night with less than 20 players. And now in 2018 we're more than 70 players strong, plus 5 instrumental coaches. The 2019 session will be conducted by Alyze Dreiling.

Occasional sectional rehearsals led by coaches: Andrea Altona (Violin 1), Judy Coker (Violin 2), Jennifer Albrent (Viola), Gordon Grubbs (Cello), Bert Turetzky (Bass). Rehearsals focus on repertoire and sectionals focus on skill building as it applies to the repertoire.
